Most recruiters take their foot off the gas the moment a holiday week shows up on the calendar.

They assume nobody is working. Nobody is checking email. Nobody is on LinkedIn. So they stop everything.

Second, it’s a great time to test. Try a new audience. A different campaign. A new post format. A fresh offer. When people are in scroll mode, relaxed but still checking their phones, they’re more likely to engage.

Third, stop assuming people aren’t on LinkedIn. They are. Especially if they’re taking a break from a stressful job or reflecting on what they want to change in the new year.

That’s exactly when your content and messaging should be showing up.

Over 70 percent of LinkedIn users in 2025 are mobile-first. That means formatting and clarity matter more than ever. Short lines. Simple writing. Clear calls to action.

Yes, your impressions might dip. But if a few dozen of the right people see it and one books a call, you win.

Even during a “slow” week.

Last, use the season to your advantage. Share a gratitude post. Reflect on a lesson. Give your audience something thoughtful, but still tie it back to your brand and what you solve.

That balance is key.

You can be real and still be relevant.
